Inspirational Blog

“Composition With Red, Blue and Yellow” by Mondrian
“Composition With Red, Blue and Yellow” remake by Katie Jackson

The image above is a simple yet effective use of colour. Taking the original stimulus out of context to create something very clever. I came across this blog before Christmas, as one of my friends recomennded it telling me it was 'very me'. As soon as I heard the brief for 'Painting for Inspiration' I immeadiatly thought of this competition and it has become a great starting point for inspiration for the project.

I found the use of colour and character extremely effective in this remake. And I love the fact that he looks modern in the remake, even though it is almost perfect costume. I think this is something I want to carry through to my styling project.
